ARGH
The concert was SO amazing that it cannot be described in words, only unintellegible grunts. ARGH. Amazing.
Elton and I hit some traffic on the way there, but after all the setbacks still got in line by 6:30. I bought a VIP All-Access pass so we could get in the COOL PEOPLE line with Lindz and Davin. (I was so happy to see them there! Plus I got a lapdance. Rawk.) Finally they started letting us in, and we began to panic, because hey, we bought the tickets on eBay. Luckily they were real and we ran in to get on the gate. I worked my way in first, and then gradually pressed against the guy next to me over the next half hour until there was enough room for Elt to squeeze in. There was this really funny guy behind us, and I don't remember his name, but he looked alot like Jack Black and was bragging about how many Weezer shows he had been to and buying people beer. He eventually got thrown out for making trouble trying to get to the gate... he made some girl cry.
The opening band was called The Fray--they were really good! I want their CD. Anywho, the stage setup was awesome. The big light-up =W= came floating up and they unveiled the giant dragon-thing... Weezer finally hit the stage, and DAMN it was a sexy show. I was like 5 feet from Scott the whole time, and I had an awesome view of Reeeeeevarz. He rocked so hardcore. The song list included Photograph, Island in the Sun, Peace, Perfect Situation, We Are All On Drugs, El Scorcho, Hash Pipe, Buddy Holly, Undone (The Sweater Song), Surf Wax America, and of course, Beverly Hills. TWICE. (Technical difficulties the first time? I dunno.) And I had a front-row seat! It was awesome! I need to remember to watch it when it hits MTV, cause the camera was pointed at me numerous times.
And the highlight of the night was when I got the security guard to snatch the bottle cap off the floor that Patrick Wilson threw in the middle of the show. AHAHAHA. That's right, I have his BOTTLE CAP.
Before the show, Real Rock was giving out t-shirts and tickets to see The Bravery tomorrow, so I'm going to that as well. But I gotta find someone who wants to go with me. Maybe Patrick... wait, crap... LINDSAY, WOULD YOU LIKE TO GO WITH ME TO SEE THE BRAVERY?
